Yesterday marks exactly a year when news hit Ghanaians over the death of the sensational act Ebony Reigns.
Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng affectionately called Ebony Reigns died in a car accident with two other friends on the Kumasi- Sunyani Road.
She was an Afro-beat and Dancehall artiste whose music was soaring at the time of her death. She won the hearts of many Ghanaians with songs like Sponsor, Poison and even Kokonsa Police which was released after her demise.
The uniqueness in her voice placed her at the peak of mainly local but the international music scene as well. She was known for her hard work, exuberance and attitude towards her talent, always striving to provide the best for Rufftown Records and Ghanaians at large.
Ebony’s father, Nana Opoku Kwarteng, told GNA entertainment that, Ebony’s style was certainly unique which made her stand out in the music industry and that her music legacy would forever remain relentless.
Further on, he entreated Ghanaians to participate in her memorial ceremony in March so that they catch a feeling of her old songs as well as new ones yet to be released.
Ebony is gone but not forgotten, her music still lives on. Rest in Peace Ebony Reigns.
