Lilwin, popular Ghanaian actor claimed he wouldn’t leave the acting scene even though he is gaining recognition for his music.
Kwadwo Nkansah, who is known as Lilwin expressed his interest in music when he released some songs.
Fortunately for him, he was recently nominated for an award at the 2018 VGMAs which has helped boost his career as a musician.
The actor claiming to be the face of the local movie industry while talking to Zylofon FM said: “I got my fame through acting so I can’t leave my first love and clinch on to music because my songs are doing well.”
According to the actor/artiste, the fame in doing music only makes artistes remain relevant when they have hit songs unlike acting in movies that leave an indelible mark in the life of actors even when they are no longer on screens.
Lilwin recently held a concert dubbed ‘Lilwin and Friends’ Salabash which was organized as a gesture to celebrate the Muslim Eid el Fitr. The show which went down as the most successful event ever to be held at the Kumasi City mall attracted over 107,000 patrons.
The record-breaking event was graced with ameliorating performances from BET award-winner Stonebwoy, Keche, Kwaw Kese and a lot of prominent artistes.
The biggest surprise of the night might have been the performance of Kwaku Manu and Lilwin who both decided to quash away their differences despite what happened between them lately and put up an amazing performance to the delight of the tumultuous crowd.
He has appeared in quite a number of movies and one of the most sought-after actors in Ghana currently.
