Burna Boy has been in the news lately following his outburst with organisers of the 2019 Coachella festival for putting his name in small fonts in their flyers.
There is a saying that “Birds of the same feather flock together” hmmm asemo! We don’t know if he was advised by his new found buddy The ‘Dem confuse oh’ crooner and President of The Shatta Movement Federation.
Shatta Wale who previously tweeted on his social media page, “Ghana a village” also made headlines on the news for similar feats of demented tweets.
The ‘Like to Party’ singer threw caution to the wind in a state of frenzy or Social media exuberance when he took to his Twitter page.
In a now deleted post shared on Friday, January 4, 2018, Burna Boy infuriated Nigerians who felt he was too sentimental and suffering from success for calling out Coachella organizers’ for writing his name in small fonts.
“Don’t worry, I know for a fact that my own country, NIGERIA is home to the largest number of backward Unprogressive FOOLS.
“I will still fight for them because they are not mentally advanced enough to fight for themselves. They will Forever have my Genuine undying LOVE.
“To the few proud Young AFRICAN Intellectuals who will not conform to whatever bullshit they are given. You are the Only Hope of AFRICA. God bless you all.”
In a twist to the unfortunate event with his fans on social media, #MamaBurna’ is currently the number one trending topic on Nigerian twitter and it’s simply because Burna Boy’s mum, Bose Ogulu stole the show at the Soundcity awards in Lagos on Saturday.
Burna Boy’s mum, Bose Ogulu
Her son won Four awards at the show and she was on hand to receive them all on his behalf. Her speech and dance steps as she walked up the stage to pick up the awards on Burna Boy’s behalf has got everyone talking.
While receiving one of the awards, she thanked Kanye West for making the mistake of naming his album “Ye” like her son’s hit song title and went on to say, ‘expect more madness from Burna Boy this year’.
Can this be a shade of madness we should expect from the boy on fire?
It baffles any human reasoning to insult the folks who support his music.
After the post went viral, some Twitter users took the opportunity to troll the artiste with enhanced Photoshopped font sizes of his name on the poster.
